研究兴趣：生物医用高分子、生物材料与组织工程、纳米医用材料；聚焦诱导活性生物材料在软-硬组织工程中的精准设计与应用：a. 皮肤创面材料的研发与产业转化；b. 3D打印组织工程支架材料/类器官组织及其应用研究；c. 光-热响应纳米医用材料及生物学调控机制研究。

主持国家自然科学基金1项，湖北省自然科学基金1项，以骨干身份参与国家自然科学基金-重大研究计划、湖北省重点研发计划、深圳市可持续发展专项若干项。

Dr. Weikang Hu is currently an associated professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering. He leads a research group that focuses on the development and study of biomaterials for translational medicine. The team specializes in using chemical modification and material manufacturing techniques to create tissue-engineered scaffolds, specifically for wound healing. They aim to understand how biomaterials promote tissue regeneration and repair damaged tissues.
