专家简介：Dr. Mark Sterling 教授，英国曼彻斯特城市大学副董事长（科学与工程学部），英国高等教育公司首席研究员、英国土木工程师学会会员、英国皇家气象学会会员，曾在多国（包括英国、爱尔兰、墨西哥及中国）开展风能工程、生物学与农业的交叉学科研究，是风能工程领域的国际领军人物。

报告内容：By their very nature, careers are deeply personal, and success often hinges on serendipitous moments interspersed by failure and rejection.  It is through these lenses that Mark will examine his academic journey and draw out the lessons he has learnt along the way. We will start by exploring the strange world that is Wind Engineering and progress into the even stranger world of academic leadership. Throughout this journey, Mark will endeavour to draw out several key points which he wished he had known before he started, finishing with one simple message that has helped him along the way.
